  • Hi everyone!

Well, the good news is- we managed to switch servers today without too many hitches.

The bad news is- we lost everything that was posted today- including comments.

That said, I copied everyone’s comments in a screengrab before the switch so I’ll be reposting them manually here.

I’m so sorry- we didn’t know this would happen, so from now on things should be working normally.

Thanks for your patience and understanding

    Grace :)

  • second round:

    jody:

i have to have that hayden-harnett flight tote! i saw them on their site, but i think that pattern is only available through Target. so lovely!

LOVE! I want it all, especially the metallic passport covers and the Orla Kiely bag. I’m still in denial about Domino though…

This is a great roundup-still so sad domino is going away. Love the “‘we all have our baggage luggage tag”

i can confirm that those “herban essentials” fancy towelettes are the bomb; my mother gave me a big bag of them a few years ago, and initial skepticism quickly gave way to “lordy, these things smell fantastic.” glad the extra content made it here, grace!

this makes me travel even more than i wanted to already!

    al:

do you actually have the hayden harnett flight tote? i like the design but every review i see says the zippers are crap :(

Thanks so much for posting this! I was disappointed that it was never put on the Domino site, so I really appreciate you posting it on your site.

    al-

i have their flight tote in black (not the version at target, but the one from their site) and it’s ok- i love the shape and size (perfect for weekend trips), but the zippers DO get stuck a lot. my back zipper is totally useless now because it got stuck on the lining inside the pocket. so i can’t use the back pocket, just the front two and the main interior section.

ohhhh, I love this post! I always have the best intentions of buying smart traveling gear and accessories….then I end up throwing everything into an old work bag and cursing myself while I rot away in the airport…but this year is a new year, with new trips! and I am totally feeling like an adult lately, so maybe it is time to evolve.

What a great post! I really envy your eye for finding and mi clever and pretty things. Again, very inspiring… thank you!

Aww… those tags are really sweet!! ‘I made it! I made it’ is my fave too ^_^

What a great travel roundup! I also love solid fragrances by Pacifica and L’Occitane for traveling; they’re maybe $9-10 each so you can get multiples if you have a hard time deciding like I do. No risk of spilling, and such a welcome breath of fresh air after a long flight!

Keep posting these under $100 – they are great and such fun to look at.

    Great roundup!

I love just about everything Jane Marvel makes. Her travel gear is well-made and just so fun and colorful — and best of all, really well priced!

Ah…I’m the world’s biggest fan of those HH Paule Marrot pouches and such.

I need to think of somewhere new to travel so I can buy one of each!

  • Love, love that you turned your fantastic eye on travel goods. I agree Luxe guides are awesome, but have you checked out eat.shop guides yet? Carefully chosen independent stores & restaurants. Beautifully designed, too. They’re my favorite…

  • Love those colors in the first picture! Anyone know where to find the Hayden Harnett barrel case in that print? They don’t seem to have it on their site. I need it! :)

  • I came to the site because of the orange and yellow luggage tags on page 24 of the March issue. I see the green tags above. Where are they available and at what price?

  • I adore pretty luggage tags but have never purchased one because I’m convinced it’ll get plucked by an equally charmed thief five seconds after my bag hits the conveyor belt at check-in. Has anyone had luck keeping a tag for more than one trip?

Thanks for this post! Love it!

  • love all of this. i have been looking for a cute, small pullman suitcase for awhile. suitable for a long weekend. think orla kiely but, like, half the price. or at least under $200. am i dreaming? any ideas?

    • nique

i’ve been looking for a year but i honestly don’t think one exists. i want cute patterns like orla’s but a bit more sophistication and it’s hard to find. it’s either too expensive, or a little too “young” for me. i love colors and flowers, but i’m looking for something chic and feminine without being too playful or youthful. if you find one please let me know ;)

      grace

  • grace, what you just described is pretty much along the lines of what i’ve been looking for. if i ever decide to design luggage, perhaps this could be my niche market! i’ll keep looking… :)

  • Thanks for this! I must say I agree with Kelli traveling can be such a pain and I find I really appreciate beautiful products to help! I recently bought a travel pillow by Bud which I loved the look of and it saved my sanity on a 12 hour flight!

  • These are some great accessories to add to your luggage when traveling. Your blog is awesome, you always have great tips and info, you have been forever bookmarked.

  • This a really good and comprehensive list. As summer comes, it one is traveling in hot climes maybe a may offer protection without being to warm. And if you are carrying a laptop, there are some wonderful or maybe a will be easier to mange
