From the Runway to the Home: 2014 Fall Trends

by Amy Azzarito

The other day, I popped into around the corner from the office to try on a fuzzy white coat that was calling to me from the window. With the muggy heat that we’ve had in NYC lately, it’s hard to remember that soon we’ll be wearing coats, sweaters and boots (and by , it might be very soon indeed). If this winter is anything like last year, I’m going to be spending a lot of time indoors. When the weather gets cold, my fashion sensibility goes straight out the window so I might as well translate the looks from the runway to the place where I’ll be spending my winter days and nights (most likely dressed in leggings and slippers).  –Amy

  • I really appreciate this translation from fashion runway to home decor. I would love to see this kind of on-going connection between what is on our bodies to what is in the lived environment

  • Fascinating post as always and great findings from fashion and interior design world to collide together in a way that makes so much sense. Patterns and textures walking down the runway are definitely reflected in everyday objects around us, and I guess vice versa…. Looking forward to more posts like this!

  • These posts are super. Totally agree that they should become a regular feature with each NYFW or seasons!
