Our Favorite Floors: 25 Reasons to Look Down
Living in the city, I was constantly reminding myself to look UP. So much of my time was spent trying to dodge people and cars and bikes on the sidewalks that I rarely deviated from looking straight ahead. Now that we live in the country, I’ve learned to look up more, but this month’s hashtag has been a wonderful reminder to look down, too. From incredible wooden plank floors and cement tiles to messages written in mosaics, this month’s hashtag challenge photos were nothing short of spectacular. I was happy to see such a great mix of materials (and shoes!) as well as a few furry friends enjoying cool tile floors and soft rugs. Thanks so much to everyone who shared their photos with us this month. Enjoy the floor show! xo, grace

That black pug just steals my heart. SO adorable!
Thanks so much for the feature DesignDroits-Humains!! Check out the Instagram feed and blog. :)
I loved this! Of course the dogs steal my heart, but the floors are gorgeous!
I’m such a sucker for the honeycomb tiles!!

Big love for featuring my tootsies! Thank you!
Amelia, I love the mix of pink stripes and patterns in your pic… now following on Instagram!
Wow! Wow! Wow! ALL so good!
Thank you so much for the feature! So many beautiful floors!
I especially enjoy the larger commentary available here other than just on the beautiful flooring. For example:
1. I can tell that double strapped, brown criss-cross sandals are very much in style. I think I need a pair!
2. I love how [most] people love to insert a little of themselves in their images. We can’t resist showing that our feet have touched these great spots too, putting our mark on the space and adding to the story.
3. Why are dogs so cute?
I love looking down photos, they are some of my favorite images to look at in my Instagram feed.
Really really nice collection – many thanks for doing it. Could something similar be done with ceilings?
I love that cobalt + white is having a moment! Great collection.
My favorite by far is Image #3. Green is a color that’s not used often enough, and the owners did it right in that particular floor. Something that definitely brings life to the house in a natural and alive manner as opposed to the sterile floors you see so often today.
Hello!!
Any idea the tile company in image 20? I am looking for those pinks and peaches!!
Ack, sorry! I mean image 19!
