Classic Decor Combos: Pink and Green
One of my favorite color combinations as a little girl was pink and green. Pink reminded me of every dream doll and Barbie house (and !) I’d ever owned and green always reminded me of the numerous grape leaf wallpaper borders that were ever-present in 80s homes. Those two colors together seemed like the epitome of chic for me and there’s a little part of me that still wants to use them in every room. So today I’m taking inspiration from two home tours we’ve shared here at DS and sharing some of my favorite home decor pieces, from furniture and rugs to lighting, that celebrate and work with pink and green. xo, grace

I love the combination of pink and green. The more mauve pinks that are in style become more muted when placed next to green home decor, or even better a green plant!
Very inspiring, always through pink was too girly for interiors but this proves that with the right styling it can look amazingly chic!
this colour combo really speaks to me! great post x
While I eschewed most anything pink in childhood, I have really fallen for pink and green as an adult so this post is sweet. They were my grandma’s favorite color combination and I remember her various spring ensembles right (up) to her many pink and green clip-on earrings. Pink and green then followed me to college — they are the colors of my alma mater — and now to my chosen hometown whose unofficial colors are pink and green. Reading this, I realized that my two favorite rooms follow suit: a pastel pink bedroom left by the previous resident, then aged 6, and a mudroom painted Irish green this past fall. Talk about being influenced by our surroundings!
Haha, I decorated my whole room in pink and green when I was 14 years old. Not in the subtle shades, full on pink and bright greens. Although I would never use those shade in my home today, the color scheme, just like you said, still holds a special place in my heart. And for good reason, it is a pretty awesome combo! :)
Pink and green was my favorite color combo too! My bedroom walls were mint green and my curtains were a pink and green floral print. I, too, felt so chic! Great post!
I think the lesson here is that, as we mature, we can take what we loved as a younger person and transform it to who we are now. I always get nostalgic for pink and green around this time of year when the camellia bushes start blooming.
Yes! I love pink and green and have had my bedroom these colors since college. It used to be more dusty/mauve with sage, and now it’s mint with a lilac-y pink and pops of fuchsia.
Either way, can’t go wrong with pink and green.
Have always love the pink and green color combo, especially when decorating with plants! Thanks for sharing, Grace!
So weird! This is the color combination I’ve been working with lately with my paintings! I really am seeing it everywhere!
