by Grace Bonney

Velvet sofas are the ultimate luxury in my book. Soft, cozy and with so much depth and texture, these h pieces of furniture make any room feel instantly warm. I’ve never taken the leap and upholstered a piece of our furniture in velvet, but it’s always on my to-do list and next winter I might need give it a try. Cozying up on a velvet sofa with a good book and some hot tea is the most comforting feeling. Until that day, here are some of my favorite velvet sofas from home tours past. xo, grace
