6 Spring Fruits & Vegetables To Enjoy Now + In Season Printable FOR YOUR FRIDGE
With the spring equinox comes a new crop of fruits and vegetables that are perfectly in season. I often leave the grocery without the main thing I went to the store for, and sadly, that’s true no matter how excited I get about spring produce. I made this handy-dandy fridge reminder so I have a constant awareness of what to buy this month. It also helps me menu-plan when I can, and I have to say, it beats looking at the gazillion school memos stuck to my refrigerator with random magnets.
And, of course, I’m sharing some of my favorite recipes for you to bookmark as we quickly move through March, starting with this artichoke casserole from Sabra Krock. This is one dish that my family and I could eat every single weekend — and it freezes well too! –Caitlin

If you’re looking for a two-for-one of spring’s best, these Daikon Rolls-ups with Miso Mint Pea Filling are so, so good! I make them with red radishes so you can take your pick — both are delicious.
I’ve read that the flavor of Cava Cava oranges compares to the sweet, tangy flavor of strawberries and sweetened cranberries. This parfait is a magical way to mix the indulgence of winter desserts with the seasonal orange native to Venezuela. So. Good.
Adding fresh pear slices to any grilled cheese sandwich makes for a completely satisfying weekend lunch. I am partial to goat cheese and pear, but pear pretty much rocks any grilled cheese!
And now, my asparagus favorite! This quick and easy recipe’s secret ingredient is almonds. I toast my almonds and then ground them with a mortar and pestle for the “almond flour.” See the recipe here.
If you have a spring favorite you’d like to share, all I have to say is PLEASE DO! I’m always curious what flavors and favorites people love when spring vegetables come up, so do share yours with me in the comments.
Love this!
Once, I discovered cara caras I stopped eating other types of oranges. They are so pretty and pink! Occasionally, I will eat tangerines but only if I can’t find cara caras.
Great reference! In season fruit and vegetables are so much cheaper and better.
My family grows Cara Cara oranges commercially in California — I am so happy to see them on this list! We absolutely love them and hope their popularity grows…
Yummy, I m going to cook Roasted Asparagus with Almonds and Parmesan this weekend. Thanks for this recipe.
